Nagpur's Indora to Dighori flyover — one of the city's longest elevated corridors — is in its final-finishing stage and is scheduled to open to traffic on August 1, 2026, according to NHAI officials cited in recent reports.

The corridor runs along the busy north–south arterial connecting Indora in the north with Dighori in the south, lifting through-traffic above several of the most congested signalised junctions on the route.

Crews are now completing the wearing course on the final spans, along with lane markings, signage, crash barriers and street lighting. Once open, commuters on this stretch should see a meaningful drop in peak-hour travel times.

A few things are still pending. Final ramp work and service-road reinstatement at some junctions will continue after the launch, and NHAI is yet to issue a formal notification on toll status. We will update this story as those details are confirmed.

What this means for residents: if you live in North Nagpur and commute to the southern or eastern wards, expect a noticeably faster run from August. Nagpur Forward will publish on-ground travel-time measurements in the week after launch.

"From August 1, the Indora to Dighori run is expected to bypass the city's busiest signals in one continuous elevated stretch."
