Construction on the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital & Research Centre in Nagpur has officially begun. Site photographs from June 21, 2026 show heavy excavation completed across the plot and reinforcement work for the raft foundation already in progress.

The first image, taken from the eastern edge, shows the depth of the dig and material being moved by tippers and excavators against the backdrop of the adjoining metro viaduct. The second frame captures the foundation bay itself — shuttered pits, rebar grids being tied, and a clear footprint of what will become the hospital block.

This is the earliest verifiable construction milestone for the project on the ground.
